Introduction.
According to sources (article at the link here), Digital Learning is a market worth over 19 billion euros. Corporate training is crucial for the success of a business, and over the last 20 years, it has been transformed by the adoption of digital technologies. Corporate training is now more accessible and customizable, with the ability to utilize online courses, videos, simulation games, and much more.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a technology that becomes a key figure in training, capable of analyzing data on course usage and identifying areas for improvement. It’s possible to customize paths according to individual needs and reward or certify them. Moreover, blockchain provides a secure, transparent, and immutable digital record of training paths and employee certifications.
Training and Artificial Intelligence.
If we could look back and trace all the events of recent years, we would realize that, despite the evils of a whole pandemic, innovation has undergone a rapid acceleration that forced us to open our eyes towards some innovations that, although present for some years for one reason or another, did not take hold in everyday life.
Blockchain, NFTs, artificial intelligence, and the metaverse, these words are now part of everyday life, and companies are trying to benefit from them and generate business opportunities. After widespread horizontal use dictated by the pace of cryptocurrencies, we are experiencing an increasingly sector-specific verticalization.
Training and certifications, for example, could derive countless benefits in terms of security, traceability, and verifiability. It’s not new to talk about made-up degrees and certifications never obtained or even falsified.
The union of artificial intelligence, blockchain, NFTs, and why not, even virtual reality, for example, could allow companies to create entire paths without necessarily mobilizing trainers, spending time and resources to certify their processes. A virtual trainer connected to an AI will be able to prepare dozens, if not hundreds of collaborators at the same time, while blockchain and NFTs could make certification and the path itself transparent and unfalsifiable.
It’s not utopian; it’s already happening in several structures.
Customization is the keyword. In a single classroom, we might have people asking different questions based on their learning level or curiosities, but a trainer has a limited number of interactions for obvious reasons, artificial intelligence does not. The user experience is certainly more engaging than a video course, which is often boring and minimally interactive.
Practical applications.
Think of safety training courses or the launch of a new company product. Extinguishing a fire with a fire extinguisher, lifting a load correctly are actions that can also be replicated in virtual reality and with the aid of technological tools available to everyone.
Launching and explaining a new product or service to a commercial network often requires economic efforts and related logistics to organize and coordinate, this is the past. The significant savings in economic terms are evident, and the benefits are numerous.
In recent months, more and more requests are leading us in this direction with excellent feedback on the final result, which aims to leave an impression in the minds of those who live these experiences.
Many schools and some universities, in my opinion, are already late, considering that they should be the ones leading such a step, but in very few cases do we hear about it. Concrete actions are only monitorable in some structures destined to emerge more and more, marking an increasingly wide gap compared to those who want to remain tied to a past that will certainly not aid the progress of our country.
The most far-sighted companies are compelled to embark on a path that contemplates these new opportunities precisely to avoid chasing structures that are much more appealing to the eyes of workers, and we know, the new generations do not like boomers.
